Noriko Yamada is a Japanese Dorodango artist based in the Netherlands.

She has over 80,000 followers across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, with more than 50 million total video views. As the Founder and President of the World Dorodango Association, she continues to share Dorodango culture with people around the world.

Noriko has loved making Dorodango since she was living in Japan. There was always something calming about quietly polishing a sphere and watching it slowly shine.

Years later, during one of the most difficult periods of her life, when both her body and mind felt exhausted, she returned to Dorodango. One day, she started making Dorodango again. As she quietly polished one sphere after another, she felt something inside her gradually begin to settle.

She was simply enjoying the process, yet little by little her mind felt lighter. Ordinary soil slowly transformed into light. That time became a way for her to return to the present moment.

That experience changed her life.

Today, she dedicates herself to sharing Dorodango with the world.
